One-day conference on Open Source Software alternatives to proprietary mathematics tools

 

PLUME and the Computation Group of the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) organise a one-day conference that deals with Open Source Software alternatives to proprietary mathematics tools .
The conference will take place February 4th at the CNRS amphitheatre, Paris. The conference will be live webcast on the event day at  webcast.in2p3.fr . The presentations will be available few days later at the same url.
The main objective of the conference is to give a comprehensive overview of open source software for computation that are considered as credible alternatives to proprietary computation software, and to show the feasibility of the migration to these open software.
