Unit of Management by Objectives
In 2003,[1] a unit of management by objectives within the Ministry of Communication Technologies was created to implement a national plan in the field of Open Source Software.
The decree of creation of this unit of management by objectives has been extended thereafter in 2007 [2] and in 2008 [3]. The unit of management by objectives is in charge of achieving the national Open Source Software plan and is targeting the following goals:
Widening and promoting the uses of Open Source Software
Setting up of an observatory to stimulate the technological awakening and follow-up of the novelties in this domain
Providing technical assistance to administrative structures, enterprises, and organizations in order to ensure the good exploitation of Open Source Software
Following-up of the programs in relation with Open Source Software and particularly the sectors of education, training, higher education, and scientific research
Setting-up and organizing training and sensitization sessions and workshops.
The unit of management by objectives takes care of the realization of all the activities of the action plan related to Open Source Software
